the time is December 7, 1938; and the place is
Freud's Maresfield Gardens home in London

it is the final year of Freud's life; he is suffering from
incurable cancer of the jaw

speaking is painful, and consequently his message
is short

it would be the only audio recording ever made by
the father of psychiatry
