John Lennon On -
"My First Feminist Education"

9/26/2008

As children, we tend to imitate those around us;
and over time, the attitudes and actions of our
role models play an important part in determining
who we are, how we act, and how we come
across to others.

In the video below, John Lennon describes the
adults who raised him. He draws a sharp distinction
between the men versus the women of his family.

To what extent are these men/women differences
reflected in the "John Lennon" persona - a
manner of thinking, feeling and acting, which in
turn, influenced many who grew up in the 60's
and many of us today.
