Charles M. Schulz's "Harold"

5/29/2009

Good old Charlie Brown?
No, but close.

The above frame is Charles M. Schulz's
"Harold."

Harold appeared in Young Pillars, a biweekly
single-panel cartoon created by Schulz for a
teen magazine called Youth.

Young Pillars ran from 1956 to 1965.
Below is a sample.

Hundreds more of these teen oriented cartoons
are collected in Schulz's Youth.

I just found a sketch on newsprint signed by Charles m Schulz with the Young Pillar's characters. (In an old box of Sunday School Stuff) I can't find anyone who even knows about this venue. Anyone know of someone who can give me an estimate?
