Do men really think this way?   Do women?
Comments please.

I think that some men, highly jaded and affected men, absolutely have these types of thoughts for their mates, sometimes partners. Though, i think this is also a point in ones journey through life and love that is easily be avoided, if one can learn to understand the bad things about themselves. I think this view of others is spawned from any ones own individual narcissism. If I did think (and become obsessed with the notion that) my looks and physical appeal was not only astronomical but the MOST important thing in my bag of features, i could inflate the looks of others into a serious character judgment call such as this. Love is so much more simple than we all think in my opinion.. its not a period of time.. its not the outcry of emotion.. Love shows itself in everyones own personal psyche in a variety of different ways. While alot of these ways are confusing (the passionate side of things), i think its up to us to interpret the hormonal and emotional responses of love and either enjoy them or victimize ourselves for being such idiots to launch into the throws of love and emotion. I think its a very immature and brash way to see love and physical attractiveness, though i think this has happened in peoples relationships time and time again unfortunately.
