"Burst of Joy" is the name of this shot taken in 1973 by
Associated Press photographer Slava Veder of prisoner
of war Col. Robert L. Stirm, of the U.S. Air Force.

Stirm was the last person off the plane, returning home
to his family after almost six years. Strim was shot down
over Hanoi and badly wounded. It won the Pulitzer Prize
in 1974.
